Sari silks are available in small packages or bulk-size skeins/bundles for larger projects.

Our source for sari silks is a women's co-op in India.  Each skein is a unique color combination and each skein wieghs a differnt amount...so we charge by the gram.  If your skein is a bit lighter, you'll pay a bit less and conversely, if your skein is a bit heavier, you'll pay a bit more. We finalize your pending credit card for the actual amount, once your silk in the mail.

All sari silks are made with new, but "leftover silk" (e.g. thrums, weaving tests, etc) which would otherwise be waste.

As these items are all dyed in India, we recommend washing the silk in cool water--to check for color-fastness--before using in your final project.  If your final project will never be washed, then you can skip this step.
