Anne DesMoines designed and knitted the Textured Silk Cap and Silk Hat (with earflaps and back extension). The pattern was published in Piecework November/December 2014,  p21-24.  

Knit it for a special someone, using lace-weight Zola (100% bombyx spun silk) as one strand or 2 strands held together.  Or use fingering-weight Margaret (100% bombyx spun silk) Either yarn will work!

The red cap and black hat were knitted with Zola; the  golden-tan hat was knitted with Margaret.

You can purchase the undyed Zola yarn (approx 100g) or Margaret yarn (approx 100g) with or without the Piecework issue.
