Kit - Knitting - Golden Flower Shawl
Katrina King designed this lovely lace shawl from one skein of 100% silk Kiku, lace-weight, dyed color #303 Beehive Gold.
The pattern was published in Piecework September/October 2017 issue, p27-30. Katrina's finished shawl weighs 62g.
Katrina designed a chrysanthemum flower motif, which she knitted with Kiku yarn, and “Kiku” means chrysanthemum in Japanese. A perfect union of design and yarn! The color Katrina selected looks like golden-bronze chrysanthemums that bloom every fall.
The silk is from the Bombyx mori silk worm, often referred to as "mulberry" silk.
You can purchase the Kiku yarn in color #303 Beehive Gold with or without the Piecework issue (see dropdown box).
If you would prefer another color for your shawl, you can order from our selection of Color Now! (already dyed) Kiku yarn here.
