65 Roses - Kiku Silk Yarn - Fall Foliage 554

We have created "65 Roses®" one-of-a-kind hand-painted yarn.
“65 Roses®” is a term often used by young children with cystic fibrosis to pronounce the name of their disease.
Treenway Silks donates a minimum 10% of sales to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in honor of Andrea's angels, to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF). During JUNE of each year, we double our donation. Since developing the 65 Roses® colorways in 2017, Treenway Silks has donated $42,000 through March 31, 2025—we appreciate your support as we work toward our 2024 goal.
Hand-painted in Colorado--color fast.
We use acid dyes for all of our silk dyeing.
For variegated colorways, we "paint" the dye onto the silk. It takes strong fingers to work the silk into the many strands. We steam at 190 degrees for several hours. We allow the silk to cool down overhight.
We rinse the silk until the water runs clear.
Wash instructions: wash in cool or cold water. Let dry. Iron, if desired, using the Silk setting on your iron.
The silk is from the Bombyx mori silk worm, often referred to as "mulberry" silk.
