LIMITED EDITION gift boxed rigid heddle weaving kits

I've had a small stash of natural dyed Jorie II silk yarn for some time now.  Treenway Silks no longer has a natural dyer, making these skeins very special. So they needed to be used in a very special way.

We decided to make a fundraiser for cystic fibrosis using these natural dyed Jorie II silks, paired with another silk yarn.  And to make the kits extra special, they come in a lovely hand-made box crafted by artisans in India.

KIT #1:  "Light & Dark Fibonacci Stripes" makes 2 scarves
This fabulous, classic silk 2-scarves kit, designed and woven by Peg MacMorris (featured in Little Looms 2017 magazine, page 27) has been so popular, it was a easy choice for one of our limited edition 65 Roses kits.

Peg's classic scarves kit was designed using Fibonacci sequence to create pleasing stripes. Peg used two skeins of silk yarn to create two scarves.

We love getting two different scarves…a “light” one and a “dark” one, because your first scarf is woven with hand-dyed Jorie II as the weft and your second one is woven with Zola as the weft.

The two scarves each have a different weight, too, so you can wear the "light" one in warmer weather and the "dark" one in cooler weather.

Your Limited Edition "Light & Dark Fibonacci Stripes" Silk Scarves Kit  makes TWO beautiful scarves and includes:
--190 yds (90g) of hand-dyed Jorie II (100% spun silk yarn, dyed with Natural Dyes)
--580 yds (90g) of Zola (100% spun silk yarn) in either Natural White or dyed in one of our "regular" dye colors.
--Instructions (printed on paper in black and white)

Each scarf is approximately 5.5” wide; the scarf using Jorie II as the weft will be approximately 45" long (plus fringe) and the scarf using Zola as the weft will be approximately 75" (plus fringe)

KIT #2:  "Ribbed Stripes" or "Big Plaid"
Our most popular rigid heddle scarf kits are both designed by the amazing Peg MacMorris.  We couldn't decide which to offer, so we decided to supply the instructions for BOTH "Ribbed Stripes" AND "Big Plaid."  That way you can decide which scarf to weave, when you are ready to warp your loom.
