Over the years, our assortment of 65 Roses Weaving Kits has quietly expanded.  We now have FIVE kits!

RIGID HEDDLE SILK SCARF WEAVING KIT (see photo in gallery below)
This beautiful silk scarf kit was designed and woven by the fabulous Peg MacMorris.

This has "pick up" roses that you can either place in the variegated stripes or in the wide center strip.  Or, if you're not crazy about pick up, you can just skip it and still have a lovely scarf!

We have two color selections...Eucalyptus or Star Ruby

4-SHAFT WEAVING KITS (see photos in gallery below)
There are three 4-shaft weaving kits. Each kit is designed and woven by the very creative Robin Wilton.

4-SHAFT 65 Roses "Crazy Love"  is our newest kit--just introduced last month.  This kit makes TWO scarves.

"Crazy Love" uses Omshanti silk yarn (Eri Silk), with the shinier Kiku (Bombyx silk) as the accent stripes.

Eri Silk is from a small region of India and is reared by the native villagers--often women.

Eri silk is rather magical, in that it keeps the wearer cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

This eri silk is mill-spun, size 20/2 (our most popular size of silk).

4-SHAFT 65 Roses Original weaving kit is a perennial favorite.  This kit makes TWO scarves.  There are two treadling options.

It's been so popular that we added a second color option.
The original is a rose color 'Hermosa Rose"
We added 'Teal a Cure Is Found" option. This year we changed the dark steely-grey color in the kit.

4-SHAFT 65 Roses Butterflies 2-scarves silk scarves kits (see photo in gallery below)
Each of these six kits is a one-of-a kind.  Each kit pairs our favorite "Kiku" silk yarn with a variegated reeled silk yarn, Lixue.

The warp alternates the two yarns.
You weave the first scarf with Lixue, until you run out of silk--no waste!!
You weave the second scarf with Kiku, until you run out of warp!

8-SHAFT 65 ROSES "TAKE TWO" Silk Scarves Weaving Kit (see photo in gallery below)
A collaboration between Robin Wilton and me, this silk scarves kit is woven in Jin (also known as "Turned Tacquete"), one of my favorite weave structures.

Robin and I often have differing opinions...so we accommodate both!  This kit as two treadling options and two weft color options.
