Doesn't this darling summer sprite just call out "stitch me!"?
Kateryna, displaced from her Ukraninan home, still manages to create cheerful cross stitch designs. Many of her Instagram posts, Stitchy_Princess_Black, will reference life in a war zone, such as "if no new attacks on Odessa."
Kateryna sent her chart to Just Cross Stitch magazine, and the editor, Barb Laux, thought this would be a lovely design to stitch with Treenway Silks' "Harmony", 6-strand silk floss.

"Rosemary" (the variegated greens) is from our 65 Roses color line. This color line is name "65 Roses" because that's how young children with cystic fibrosis will pronounce the name of their disease. We donate at least 10% of all "65 Roses" sales to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in honor of Andrea's angels, to help fund research for a cure.
Summer Fairy's hair and all the leaves & stems are stitched using "Rosemary" colorway in Harmony 6-strand silk floss. The 7mm ribbon, also in "Rosemary" colorway is ruched, creating the lovely ruffle along the edges of the pillow.
The rest of Summer Fairy is stitched with six cheerful hand-dyed colors of Harmony, 6-strand silk floss.
